A National Nature Service for Wales

Doing the work that nature needs of us

Organisations across Wales have been working together for the past year to create a national nature service for Wales. A national nature service would link up those looking for decent work with opportunities to act on the nature emergency.

A national nature service could encompass paid placements and apprenticeships, education and training, volunteering activity and enterprise support –for anyone of any age across Wales.

Responding to an immediate need for green jobs and supporting work of any type which aims to restore the natural environment (including conservation, farming, forestry, eco-tourism and nature-based businesses), a national nature service will build a skilled and eco-literate workforce for the long term. It will create a foundation for entrepreneurship and business innovation, a green economy for the future, and improve the health and wellbeing of our nation. We’re currently registering interest and over time we’ll be adding more information to this site.
